English: In March of the year 2008 Tristan, Jörg and Gerrit had the idea to form a new band. After a short time of consider, they decided to indulge the old heroes of Melodic Elk Death. A name for the band was discovered quick and the metal community was enriched by a new child called “Sanity’s Eclipse”. To complete the band Timo joined them after a few auditions. With this lineup, the first song “War Machinery” was recorded and published on Myspace. In this time Jörg took over the vocals in addition of bass playing and the whole band was hardworking for new song material and the raise of their equipment. After a while the decison to hire a new member for the vocals was made. With Matze the position was occupied fast and the whole project was leaded to a higher level. A short period after Matzes participation, the Mercenaries Metal Meeting 2009 was used to spread their “Ruhr Area Melodic Death Metal”. Since this time, some concerts were played (including gigs with Sabiendas, Sardonic and Drone) and the band was able to assure themselves a position in the local scene. The next project is the recording of their debut album, which is produced in self-production and currently under development. Despite all that, every opportunity to feed the hungry masses with gigs will be challenged! Deutsch: Im März des Jahres 2008 entsprang in den Köpfen von Tristan, Jörg und Gerrit die Idee eine neue Band aus der Taufe zu heben. Nach einer kurzen Bedenkzeit einigte man sich auf die grobe Vorgabe, den alten Helden des melodischen Elchtodes zu frönen. Ein Name wurde auch schnell gefunden und so konnte die Metalgemeinde das neue Kind namens “Sanity’s Eclipse” willkommen heißen. Um das Lineup zu vervollständigen holte man sich nach einigen Auditionen Timo in’s Boot. In dieser Besetzung wurde eine erste Aufnahme des Songs “War Machinery” in Angriff genommen und schlussendlich auf Myspace veröffentlicht. Von da an übernahm Jörg zusätzlich zum Bass den Gesang und es wurden fleissig neue Songs geschrieben und das Equipment aufgestockt. Nach einiger Zeit kam man zu der Erkenntnis ein weiteres Mitglied aufzunehmen, welches sich um den Gesang kümmern soll. Mit Matze konnte dieser signifikante Posten schnell besetzt und das ganze Projekt nochmals einen Schritt weiter gebracht werden. Kurz nach Matzes Einstieg konnte das Mercenaries Metal Meeting 2009 dazu genuzt werden um die Verbreitung des melodischen Death Metals ruhrpöttischer Prägung zu starten. Seither sind nun schon einige Konzerte (u.a. mit Sabiendas, Sardonic und Drone) gelaufen und man konnte sich in der Szene einen Platz sichern. Das nächste Projekt ist nun die Aufnahme des Debütalbums, welches komplett in Eigenregie entsteht und sich zurzeit in Bearbeitung befindet. Trotz alledem wird nach wie vor jede Gelegenheit genutzt um die hungrige Meute mit Auftritten zu versorgen!
